This is a large home directly on the lake that is perfect for weekends or one to four week vacations in the mountains, either for summer or winter (ski season.)  The house sleeps a minimum of 14 people in privacy and comfort making it ideal for large families or inviting friends along.  This is a view of the house from the private parking area above the house.  In 2006 , the house was completely upgraded in many ways.

These are views of the house looking up from the lake.  For security and comfort, all the windows in the house were removed in 2006 and replaced with the most modern window features.

Above can be seen the deck (with chairs) off the billiard room.  Below are more views of the house from the dock (on the left) on the lake.

As you climb down the walk from the driveway, you come upon the entrance to the house and the large cedar deck overlooking the lake.  It contains a picnic bench for dining and umbrellas for shade.  There is a full-scale BBQ for outdoor cooking.  The real treat is the modern fully-equipped cedar Jacuzzi ready for a evening of soaking in the tub.

Below is the view of the lake from the balcony deck shown above.

Below, after you enter the front door from the deck, you come into the wide stone floor dining room with fabulous views of the lake through the large bay windows.  There is seating for 10 at the table.

Just to the right of the dining room is the modest kitchen which  is completely equipped and adequate to prepare any amount of meals.  It contains a full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, garbage disposal, and cook-top oven with 6 burners.  The cabinets are filled with plenty of dishware, glasses, silverware and utensils.

Below is the large living/family room and the center of the house on the ground floor, just off the kitchen and dining room.  It is furnished with three large couches and a new VHS/DVD combination color TV.  The working wood-burning fireplace is great for cold winter nights during ski season.  The wood-beamed ceiling gives the feeling of a country cabin.  The views of the lake are spectacular from the multiple windows, yet there is complete privacy due to the elevation of the building.

Below is the king-sized bed in the large lower Master bedroom, down the hall from the kitchen on the ground floor.  It has a clock radio, walk-in closet, dresser, bench and bathroom just down the hall.  There is complete privacy, especially if there are a lot of people in the house.

Just off the family room, climb the stairs to the top floor.  Turning to the left past the bathroom (with shower), you enter the upper Master bedroom with wonderful views of the lake.  There is a large king-size bed, walk-in closet, a couch, a dresser and a new VHS/DVD combination color TV.  The view of the docks below is refreshing in the AM.

Below is the secondary bedroom just off the hallway to the right of the upper master bedroom.  It has two twin beds, a dresser and a desk as well as beautiful lake views and it leads to an additional extra bedroom.

Below are two different photos of the extra "attic" bedroom which has four single beds especially suitable for kids and teenagers.

The bottom floor (below) is set up as a billiard and entertainment room including a dart board (bring your own darts.)  There is plenty of seating room and a modern VHS/DVD combination color TV.  The door leads out to a private sitting area overlooking the lake (shown above.)

Looking from the opposite side of the room you can see the door in the center of the photo leading to a private bedroom.

Below are the twin beds in this private bedroom which has its own door to the outside.  It could be a private separate apartment.  Below right is the small private bedroom just off the stairway to the bottom floor which has a set of bunk beds.

Below is the view of the Arrowhead Village off in the distance from the boat dock attached to the house.  Swimming is easy here because there are no boats allowed to speed in this North Bay area of the lake.

You're not completely out in the woods.  A short drive takes you to the little town of Blue Jay which has a 4-screen modern movie theater, a large Jensen's market, a McDonald's, a Drug King and gas stations as well as the famous Royal Oak restaurant (909-337-6018.)  A special treat is Steve Lawless playing the piano on Fridays and Saturdays while you enjoy a really fine meal.  They also have a great bar.  A special treat is dinner at Jan Morrison's Casual Elegance restaurant in nearby Agua Fria (909-337-8932) which is open Thurs-Sun from 5-8 PM.

Olympic skater, Michelle Kwan used to practice in Blue Jay at the famous ice rink here that was torn down in 2003.

Drive a little further and you arrive in the Village of Lake Arrowhead (below).  Here there are many facilities including Discount Stores of Bass Shoes, Izod, Geoffrey Beane, and Van Heusen as well as shops, restaurants (including the Belgian Waffle House, Papaya Bay, Woody's, Subway, McDonald's and Burger King), bookstores and a coffee shop Razberries, in the square.  On the upper level (where the below photos were taken) is a large Stater Brothers grocery store, a cleaners, a video rental shop and a furniture store.  There is also a pizza joint on this level that is great for families with children.  The historic "gazebo" building in the center left (with the spire) is the only remnant from the original Village which was totally razed in 1981.  It now houses the popular Papagayo Mexican restaurant that moved here form Agua Fria.

This the view of the Village from the water.  There is a water skiing school here that is open to the public.  A great place to start the children out right.

Near the Village there are boat docks and you can take the Arrowhead Queen for a tour of the entire lake to view all the mansions around the lake.

The house has an attached private boat dock. Because of insurance reasons the boat is not available for rent.  Rentals may be available at the Marina across the lake. The Arrowhead Lake Association (ALA, which owns the the lake) has stringent rules as to who may operate a boat on the lake.  You must pass a test and pay for a boat "Driver's License."

There is also the nearby town of Cedar Glen that has a few restaurants for a quick meal and a small Jensen's Market for quick shopping.  Twin Peaks (really) is a short drive away and has the historic Antler's Inn for dining.  Fifteen minutes down the mountain is Lake Gregory with public lake swimming facilities and some nice restaurants and shops.

Overall, this is the perfect vacation spot that will leave great memories.
